The first teaser for Disney’s ‘Into The Woods‘ has dropped online and so far the response has been very mixed! The musical inspired film directed by Rob Marshall is an adaptation of the famed Stephen Sondheim musical, the film stars Meryl Streep, Anna Kendrick, Emily Blunt, Chris Pine, James Corden and Johnny Depp as a variety of fairytale characters from witches to princes, bakers to orphaned wish-makers. The film intertwines and reimagines the stories of Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel.
So why the mixed reactions? Well the big problem for many is that the teaser trailer doesn’t contain any musical moments… but that’s just being picky… this is after all just a teaser, there’s still plenty of time on the marketing campaign to get fans of all ages and lovers of musicals stoked for it’s release.
Into the Woods is set to release December 25th 2014.
