Have you ever wondered what dance music would sound like if it was played acoustically? Well The Showhawk Duo are the group for you. I first discovered the lads, who are an all-guitar acoustic blend of a classical connoisseur with a hard rock specialist, around 2014 via a video of them performing fast paced 90’s rave music at a music festival. I instantly loved the cool acoustic riffs the the duo brought to the once digitally created music. Another great appearance by Showhawk Duo, can be seen on Nick Grimshaw’s Radio 1 Breakfast Show, where they played some classic Ibiza anthems.
I have seen a lot of the group on social media recently, with several of their videos being shared around. Below is just one of their videos showcasing some acoustic trance music, but head on over to their website, Facebook or YouTube channel and check out their arrangements of classic Daft Punk, Tiesto and Darude tunes. They are actually starting a new tour in April and will be playing in The Button Factory, Dublin on April 16th 2017.
