Irish PokeFans know how hard it is to get these illusive mythical event Pokemon. So when Nintendo decide to distribute them fairly via Nintendo Network, we all breathe a collective sigh of relief. This month’s mythical distribution is Celebii.
The time-travel Pokemon Celebii was released in the second generation being #251 in the National dex. As protector of the Ilex forest, the event to capture Celebii in Pokemon Crystal required a GS Ball. In the latter second generation remakes: Pokemon HeartGold and Pokemon SoulSilver, taking a special event Celebii to the shrine in Ilex forest would activate a special time-travel event that would reveal your main rival was in fact the son of Team Rocket Boss Giovani!
Celebii also enjoyed the spotlight in two Pokemon movies: The fourth Pokemon movie: Celebii: Voice of the Forest and the thirteenth movie: Zoroark: Master of Illusions.
Be sure to get your special Celebii before the event ends on March 24.
To claim your Celebii:
- Start up your copy of Pokemon X, Y, OmegaRuby or AlphaSapphire.
- On the main menu, instead of continuing gameplay, scroll down to Mystery Gift.
- On the next screen, click ‘receive gift’
- Finally click ‘Get via Internet’ and the game will search for the live Celebii event.
Celebii will be lv. 100, in a Cherish Ball with the moves: Confusion, Recover, Heal Bell and Safeguard.
