Pinterest Now Notifies You When Prices Drop On Your Pins
Pinterest has recently launched a way to track prices on your favourite pins.
If you save a buyable pin you will now be able to receive in-app and email notifications when the price drops. You will then be able to buy that item within the mobile Pinterest app itself.
Previously in June, Pinterest had launched the ‘Buy’ function where retailers were able to add a ‘Buy’ button to their items allowing, users to purchse them from within the mobileapp.
The company has confirmed that over one million items have their prices drop per day. The company’s move to watch the price drops follows a string of other changes to the platform. Pinterest is slowly becoming its own search engine, having recently released an update that lets you search within images for similar items. This feature was working off the idea that a lot of people use Pinterest for shopping ideas.
