Sony isn’t exactly well known for producing massively successful movie franchises. So it comes as a surprise to learn that Sony has picked up a spec script, called /Reddoor, over the weekend. The script was written by Teddy Tenenbaum and Minsun Park
/Reddoor was picked up by producers; Barry Josephson, Liz Bassin and Jim Wedaa at the weekend. In an exclusive article released by Deadline, they revealed the film is a supernatural thriller about an app game that can kill people once they have entered the game world.
“The project is said to be in the spirit of The Ring and Ready Player One as the journalist must stop the game before both he and his sister end up becoming its victims.”
Production or casting details have yet to be released, but it will be interesting to see how Sony handles such a concept!
