There have been rumours about the hit animated series, Young Justice, getting a season 3 for a while now. In fact, in February of this year Khary Payton who is the voice of Kaldur’ahm, Aqualad and Black Manta on the show said he ‘had a good feeling’. It has now been confirmed by Warner Bros. Animation that Young Justice season 3 is indeed on it’s way.
Rejoice, for it was the fans of the show that has brought it back to life. The show began in November of 2010 and ran for 2 seasons that spanned the better part of 3 years until March of 2013. Many wanted the show to return and their voices have been heard.
Entertainment Weekly classified Young Justice as one of the “9 Best Animated TV Series Drawn from Comics”. The President of Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series, Sam Register, was quoted as saying:
“The affection that fans have had for ‘Young Justice,’ and their rallying cry for more episodes, has always resonated with us. We are excited to bring the show back for this loyal fanbase and to provide an opportunity for new viewers to discover this excellent series.”
There are no details on when the show will actually premiere. We also don’t know what network or streaming service it will be a part of. Further details are expected to be announced as they become confirmed.
