Kicking off this brand spanking new daily column in style, we’ve got the lads from British rock band Mallory Knox for you folks.
I caught this track a few times on Kerrang, Scuzz and the like and never took much notice, but when I saw them live a few months back I realised just how good a band these guys are. Mikey Chapman‘s distinctive vocals are the highlight (and near studio quality live), the rest of the band is tight, the lyrics are excellent and the chorus is a complete earworm. Add in some soaring orchestral backing during the bridge and a post-apocalyptic video and it all comes together in a great introduction to a fantastic band that I can really see blowing up in the near future. Their other tracks ‘Getaway’ and ‘Ghost in the Mirror’ are just as good too, and you should absolutely check those out if you like this.
