Matt Reeves director of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has released an image on his twitter promoting the approaching sequel War for the Planet of the Apes which presumably portrays the war between the apes and the humans for dominance of the earth as hinted in the conclusion of Dawn.
The image (pre-CGI rendered) shows an ape on horseback, with another ape approaching on foot. The scene takes place on Vancouver beach, a setting which is rather reminiscent of the infamous ending of the original 1968 Planet of the Apes. It’s early days yet, as War For the Planet of the Apes is scheduled for release on July 14, 2017.
