Vin Diesel OFFICIALLY Cast in Guardians of the Galaxy.
Marvel have finally made it official that Vin Diesel will voice the fan favourite character Groot in director James Gunn’s “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
The the big reveal came just hours after the “Fast and the Furious” star posted a photo of himself posing with a detailed bust of Groot in his Facebook. Diesel had been dying to tell us he was doing something for Marvel for a while now. With it becoming clear by mid-August that he was up for the role of Groot after fans initially speculated Diesel could be voicing Avengers baddies Ultron and then Vision.
While Marvel’s press release states only that Diesel will “lend his booming voice to the role,” the actor released a video in October that showed him practicing walking on stilts, So maybe he’s doing a little motion-capture work for guardians too? In the video, he revealed he has just one line of dialogue in the film. Sounds like Groot to me alright.
“I am Groot!”
