Not bad for a unfinished game, Bohemia Interactive’s incredibly popular DayZ, a zombie-infested mod for Arma 2 has been generating an overwhelming following, now with the standalone version of the popular mod in Alpha sold 172,500 copies during its first 24 hours, developer Bohemia Interactive CEO Maruk Spanel has announced on his
website. Spanel stated that the game was seeing 200 new players every second.
DayZ creator Dean Hall said that future information on future patches will be made available. The game is far from a finished product. The version of DayZ available today is described as a work-in-progress featuring numerous bugs and various other issues. However, this doesn’t seem to waver the thousands who have already bought the game at €21.81 on the Developer’s website over at https://store.bistudio.com/dayz
