This week was a pretty huge week for releases with the launch of the Xbox One, we have the start of a new console war and new exclusives. Of course you have the next Gen versions of Battlefield 4 and Assassins Creed IV Black Flag, but the big new titles for the system have to be Dead Rising 3 and Crimson Dragon. Dead Rising 3 is of course the third in the zombie slaying series, full of crazy hats, silly weapons and lots and lots of zombies to mow down. Reviews have been generally positive on this one, and it seems to be the big system seller for the machine. Crimson Dragon on the other hand is the spiritual successor to Panzer Dragoon, and had a big shoe to fit. The title is getting mixed reviews right now, some saying its dragon riding at its worst while others praising it and calling it a worthy successor. Either way you will find something to do on the Xbox One this week.
In other big releases we have two games for handhelds. First is the Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds for the 3DS. This game is getting an insane reception, with many reviews saying its a return to classic Zelda and a must buy. Every review I’ve seen has nothing but praise for the title. Tearaway on the Other hand is one of the bigger releases for the PS Vita recently and has been getting a very positive reception as well. Reviews are saying its a charming experience that ends to quick. And in case you need more incentive, its developed by Media Molecule, the team behind the Little Big Planet series.
