British Academy Games Awards Nominations Announced

games-logo-18917It has been a good year for gaming and today has seen The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) announced the nominations for British Academy Games Awards in 2015. An interesting array of titles have received multiple nominations and in total 51 games were recognised with 17 different categories. Taking and showcasing the best gaming had to offer in the past 12 months from UK and international development teams.
At the top of the pack with a whopping six nominations is Alien: Isolation FB62C325F00B9616E940F4DD04AAE2EF3CA98AD3with nominations all over the board from Best Game, British Game, Music, Audio Achievement, Game Innovation and Game Design, closely followed by Far Cry 4 (Artistic Achievement, Game Design, Story, Performer and music) and Monument Valley (Best Game, British Game, Artistic Achievement, Original Property and Mobile and Handheld) who both have five nominations.
Coming in with four nominations vast across the board to their name are 80 Days, Mario Kart 8, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and Destiny.hm Titanfall, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, The Banner Saga, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter have all picked up three nominations.
Many more titles have received nominations including for nominations for Performer Troy Baker (Pagan Min) in Far Cry 4 and Melissa Hutchinson (Clemintine) in The Walking Dead: Season 2. Other titles nominated include League of Legends, Valiant Hearts, Never Alone, Forza Horizon 2, baftaHitman GO, The Last of Us: Left Behind, The Wolf Among us, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Assassin’s Creed: Unity and many many more amazing titles.
The event will be hosted by actor Rufus Hound on the 12th of March in the Tobacco Dock in London. For any fans out there interested the event will be streamed live online on Twitch.tv.
