The King is dead all Hail the DUKE

Duke Nukem Forever

Rumours have circulated the web and the gaming community for years now that the king of alien ass kicking, smut peddling, gun toting violent first person shooters was going to be making his return. We sat through countless fan made videos, we’ve been rick rolled so many times we know the lyrics backwards but now finally the Duke is set to return.

Brought to us by the minds behind ‘Borderlands’ and ‘Brothers in Arms’, Gearbox Software, making his debut return at the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle, Duke looks set for a triumphant return if the buzz around the game is anything to go by.

During an interview, the man responsible for the Duke’s much awaited return, Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox Software had this to say about fans reactions to the Duke:

“Yeah, we’ve been jerked around. But we kind of want him to be triumphant. In Duke’s time of need, we almost want to support him. And I’m feeling that kind of love.”

Kirby – So cute you’ll die and stuff!

Everyone’s favourite pink marshmallow cloud blob bottomless pit hero is back and he’s cuter than a bag filled with kittens and baby penguins and other cute crap! Kirby’s Epic Yarn will be the little puffball’s tenth adventure in the series – after being pulled into another world Kirby finds himself all knots and string and soon must find his way home. With new abilities and a friend, Prince Fluff (multiplayer co-op) by his side Kirby still has his work cut out for him.
The game has already won many awards and will get its first release for North American Wii gamers in October while the rest of the world will have to wait until early 2011

Try not to pee yourselves over excitement (changes pants…) we are delighted to be able to bring some of the released shots for Batman: Arkham City. Unfortunately we are still going to have a bit of a wait on our hands, in fact the game won’t be getting a release until this time next year but in the mean time we can satisfy ourselves with just how amazing the game looks.

Serious improvements to character details, in particular Harley Quinn looks like she has showered and reapplied her makeup, we also see that Catwoman and Two-Face will be appearing in the sequel to one of the best games of 2009.
