Darksiders 4 will see the Four Horsemen of the apocalypse return in the next instalment of this action-adventure franchise. Beginning in 2010, Darksiders has been a combination of action-adventure, single-player games, packed with visceral hack and slash combat, role-playing elements, and puzzle based dungeon crawling.
Each of the main numbered entries saw you take on the role of one of the Four Horsemen – that being War in DS1, Death in DS2 and Fury in DS3, as they traversed a third-person story based single-player mode, filled with deadly enemies, biblical bosses, and otherworldly characters. The spin-off, Darksiders Genesis, saw co-op introduced as players could play as Strife or War in a top-down dungeon crawler similar to the Diablo series of games.
Now, according to the Steam listing, Darksiders 4 is set to bring online co-op to the mainline series, with players able to choose one of the four legendary Horsemen—each with their own unique weapons and combat styles. They will traverse through the epic adventure teeming with secrets, enemies, and mythic bosses. Fans of the games have been wanting to play as a complete lineup of theses deadly siblings for quiet some time. Details of the co-op gameplay and how each main character will crossover in the story is still to be clarified.

Darksiders 4 is being developed by Gunfire Games and published by THQ Nordic. There is no announced release date as of yet, but you can wishlist the title on Steam, PS5 or Xbox Series X|S.
With Gamescom taking place in August, keep an eye out for some more potential information for Darksiders 4.
