Some months ago, Netflix announced that Warren Ellis, Adi Shankar and Frederator Studios were working on a Castlevania animated series.
Not much was told after that, except the occasional update on Ellis‘ newsletter about what episode he was working on, because he’s writing season 2 at this stage.
It has all changed because we finally have a trailer, and a release date. July 7th
The series will adapt Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. I’m curious about whether the main character will be Trevor Belmont, or a different Belmont character. Because from this trailer I recognise characters like Alucard or Sypha Belnades, who were in the original game.
A quick look at Netflix also gives us the voice cast, it has names like Fred Tatasciore or James Callis.
After this trailer, I can hardly wait. Here’s hoping this show makes Konami realise how badly they’ve been treating this franchise
