Xbox avatars will soon be adding an option for wheelchairs, according to head of Xbox for Microsoft Phil Spencer. In a Twitter exchange, Spencer stated the options were “something they’d looked into” and were “not far off”.
This was directly followed by company employee Mike Ybarra tweeting an image of two Xbox Avatars in wheelchairs with the words “sneak peek”.

It’s unclear when these options will be rolled out. The image suggests a graphical facelift is coming to the Avatars along with the wheelchairs, too. A new slimline Xbox One is due in August, so a line of updates around that time could be a safe bet, but that’s pure speculation.
