There are UPDATES and then there are updates!

Word has been going around for a while now that the boys in the lab over at Microsoft would be releasing a new update for the Xbox 360 – the aim being to get all of our systems ready for the magic that is Kinect as well as some of the other big new functions. As well as Kinect ready systems we would also be getting improvements to Zune and US Xbox owners would be getting ESPN.

X-Men Destiny in the hands of Silicon Knights

The game isn’t out until Autumn 2011 but we are not sure we can wait that long – we are huge Marvel fans and any chance to wield super powers is just a bonus for us. During the week it was announced that Silicon Knights were the men and women in charge of bringing the new X-Men game into reality. Silicon Knights are the same people behind games such as ‘Too Human’, ‘Eternal Darkness’ and ‘Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain’, the game will be published by Activision.
Early talk indicates that the game will focus heavily on a new mutant entering the X-Universe and giving the players choice will be one of the main focal points of the game. What these choices are, is yet to be confirmed but we are sure it will mean plenty of story arc development akin to the choices made in the likes of the Fable series.
Marvel at the thoughts of MvsC 3 story!?
In times gone by the old Marvel versus Capcom games never needed a story – why add plot to one of the best and manic fighting games to ever fall into the hands of gamers! All we wanted was insane combos, powerful moves and a list of Marvel and Capcom characters a mile long… well friends it appears comic book writer Frank Tieri was in disagreement and now we get a plot!
Victor Von Doom on yet another quest to destroy the Universe discovers another world and once there an alliance of pure evil is formed between Dr. Doom and the diabolical Albert Wesker, Resident Evil antagonist extraordinaire. Together the pair set about conquering the two worlds unaware that their actions have stirred an even greater force than they and now the heroes and villains from both worlds will clash once more in an effort to save their worlds. (Let’s hope this isn’t a rehash of that dreadful Mortal Kombat versus DC Universe game)
Oh and some other news, a few more characters have been named and displayed from Marvel we have Magneto and M.O.D.O.K. and taking up the Capcom corner we have Spencer (Bionic Commando) and Arthur (Super Ghosts n’ Ghouls).
