Cellfactor – Psychokinetic Wars

Choose your class – Guardian, Black Op and Bishop each with their own unique abilities strengths and weaknesses. The single player mode features a challenge mode which trains your character as well as grants you bonuses and customised pieces for your character on successful completion of each mission.
As said before there are three classes: the Guardian is the toughest of the three and while it possess no telekinetic abilities it can run faster and jump farther than the other classes, it also possess dual weapons meaning double the fire power.
The Bishops possess the greatest ability over telekinesis wielding it as both a shield and a deadly weapon; they are the only class who can only fly. The Black Ops are the balance of the three races possessing both keen accuracy with firearms and command over telekinesis.
The fun part of Cellfactor comes with multiplayer however that’s also where the problem with this game lies. In the week we’ve been playing it we have only found 5 other players playing the game! What we’ve played so far has been intense action couple with excellent graphics and a bit of chaos. However the online games are few and far between so we’ve not really had the chance to play as much as would like to.

Young Thor

Take on the role of the young Norse god Thor as he battles to save the world and prevent the destruction of the world tree, Yggdrasil and prevent Hel and her evil allies from taking over. At your disposal are fifteen powerful attacks and magical spells which Thor must use if he is going to succeed. Travel across four worlds in search of eight mystical artifacts that you will need to find if Thor is going to have any chance of stopping the forces of evil.
This is your basic platform adventure with a Norse twist it’s pretty straightforward and unfortunately there is nothing new or exciting about Young Thor – the gameplay lacks any real challenge and you will find yourself doing the same thing over and over again with very little variation in the challenge or any real difficulty for that matter.
If you enjoy platformers and you are just looking to unwind with some colourful gaming and some fun then Young Thor is a game will you probably enjoy but if you are looking for something with a bit of a challenge then best to steer clear.

Toribash

The full title for Toribash is actually ‘Toribash: Violence Perfected’ had us in all kinds of excitement! Then we found it was actually just going to be ball and joint fighters that you could rip apart and our excitement dwindled a little then we played it and our excitement went through the roof.
Truth be told it’s been a long time since we’d played the Wii but this game came recommended from a friend who normally never leads us astray and they were right.
Toribash is not your average fighting game; it requires skill, timing and a bit of thinking on your part as the player. You control a ‘rag doll’ or rather you control the ball and joints (yes we almost said balls!) of the doll and by relaxing, contracting, pulling and extending the joints in certain ways the doll will perform various combat moves against your opponent – to win you must simple score more points than your opponent and to score points all you have to do is pull of a good combat technique. You can also win by disqualifying your opponent – force them out of the combat zone or force them to touch the ground with a part other than their hands or feet.
You can also customise your own ragdoll and playing this game online against others is a great way to master your control over the little fighters.
It’s different, it’s deadly and it’s a heap of fun especially if you are looking to play something new. Ok if you want to get stuck into immediate combat and are looking to slug it out against macho fighters then get yourself a different fighter – we’ll stick to play with our dolls.
