Twitterbowl 2015
The Superbowl Bet set Twitter ablaze. For those unaware, the Twitterbowl, as some are now calling it, was a bet made between Chris Evans (Captain America) and Chris Pratt (Star-Lord). Kathryn Bluher and Rose Ibarra (Egge) explain: “Evans, a New England Patriots fan, and Pratt, a Seattle Seahawks fan, both wagered on who they thought would win the Super Bowl. Depending on the outcome, they promised to either visit the children of Christopher’s Haven in Boston (Evans’ charity of choice), or patients and families at Seattle Children’s Hospital.”
When, in the course of the tournament their teams collided, the Seahawk’s defeat was decisive and so, last month, Pratt turned up at Christopher’s Haven in full costume.
However, the story does not end here. For despite his team having won the game and the Superbowl to boot, Evans, kitted out in full-costume (shield included) visited Seattle Children’s Hospital yesterday. And if that wasn’t enough, Pratt turned up too. Whether you like actors or football or superheroes or none of the above, this is a news story sure to put a smile on any face.
