Medal of Honor was a hugely successful and celebrated franchise, but has been on ice for almost a decade. Announced last year out of the blue, Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is an upcoming VR based title, going back to its roots and is set during World War II.
The title is being developed by Respawn Entertainment, as former MOH (1999) writer and producer Peter Hirschmann, returns to the franchise to craft this new title.
He revealed that the game will follow a three act structure, where you will fight along the French resistance, be part of the D-Day landings and infiltrate the Nazi secret weapons program. This whole story will be played through the perspective of the player, in first person, so it will happen in front of your eyes, there won’t be traditional cut-scenes taking you out of the immersion. Here is the latest story trailer.
