XCOM has found a resurgence in the past number of years, as the franchise was brought back with the great XCOM: Enemy Unknown in 2012. Now comes XCOM: Chimera Squad, where the squad in question is a mix of human and alien agents, all with their own special abilities. Work together to progress through missions based in City 31, using tactical based combat against enemies. The game will be available on PC via Steam and will release April 24th!
Gameplay is similar to the recent XCOM titles, as you bring your squad into a turn based, tactical movement & combat. You will have a certain squad to use during a shorter twenty or so hour campaign, as oppose to a sprawling squad building mechanic of past titles. You will have to heal and revive teammates on-site. As well as this, your squad will have the opportunity to plan your attack via breaching points on the map. Your squads special abilities can also give you an advantage before and during combat.
