Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Revealed

Earlier this week, we posted some screenshots for the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077. Today, we are spoilt by CD PROJEKT RED, as they release some Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay.

What’s Shown In The Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay?

It certainly matches up to the hype that’s been garnered so far. The video shows a pre-finished build of the games that looks extremely slick. There are glimpses of a deep RPG as well as character creation tools shown off, with an ever-changing class, upgrading and stat boost system. This includes choosing your character’s gender, backstory, visual representation and personality. You can also upgrade your internal cybernetics over the course of the game.

The world looks huge and is a mix of a dystopian futuristic world. It’s a living, breathing city with day and night cycles. The team aim to have the world fully open, with no loading screens from when you boot up the game. The world is full of missions, vendors to upgrade weapons of body mods and, of course, dangerous people.

Combat is shown off with action-packed gunplay. There are elements of destructibility in the environments as walls are chipped away by bullets. Melee is available too with stealth kills and sneak attacks available.

Mission structures are shown to be open-ended, with several ways to approach tasks in the world. There are branching speech options too. Traversal can be on foot, but the driving mechanics look impressive as well.

Cyberpunk 2077 sure looks amazing at this stage in development. With such diverse mechanics, such as an in-depth RPG system, conversational narrative and  driving and shooting, this will be an open-world that will take some time to master. For gameplay and world building vibes, think a mix of Dredd, Deus Ex and Blade Runner. If that combination sounds good to you, this will certainly be up your alley!

No word yet on a release date, but at this rate, CD PROJEKT RED can take all the time they want to perfect this game.
