The 90th Academy Awards happened this weekend with The Shape of Water emerging as the big winner of the night, claiming four Oscars. Best Director, Best Original Score (the second one for Alexandre Desplat), Best Production Design and Best Movie.

As someone who’s been a Guillermo del Toro fan ever since The Devil’s Backbone I couldn’t be happier, and  it’s nice to see a genre film winning the big awards of the night.
