Love her or hate her, Taylor Swift has been blowing up the internet with the releases from her upcoming album Reputation. Much like Game of Thrones, she can divide people. However, nobody can deny she makes waves.
The recent release of ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ both invigorated and confused even fans of Tay-Tay; it’s a new edgier departure for the previously all-American girl. It seems to follow on from Blank Space’s attempt at mocking the extreme views the public have of her.
A Different Beast?
‘Ready For It?’ continues the pattern of sass, although not in an immediately obvious way. The base line is pretty heavy but the initial lyrics make it feel like a flirty track. Yet those not oblivious to various feuds will know there’s a deeper meaning in every syllable.
That said, the track has enough of a soft feel to ease you into the week and give you a bit of a kick to keep you going. After Electric Picnic and LeakyCon, it’s exactly what we need!
