So far Baby Driver is Edgar Wright‘s most succesful movie. It’s getting great reviews and it’s doing well in the box office as well.
It’s not surprising that Sony and Wright are in talks for a sequel. Wright said so during a podcast with Empire Magazine. He said that he thinks there’s more to do with the characters.
He also thinks that the sequel should be slightly different. In his own words “I sort of have an idea that if you did another one you would subvert his involvement in the crime in a different way so he’s not kind of the apprentice anymore.”
He seems to have the right idea. If this goes forward it will be the first time he tackles a sequel of any of his films. And that’s going to be interesting.
