One of the best parts of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is that it left fans with plenty of plot points to ponder over while we wait for the next instalment in the new trilogy.

Fans will be happy to hear, in a recent interview with ABC’s Good Morning America, director of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Rian Johnson stated that the issue of Rey’s parentage will be touched upon:
“It’s something that’s absolutely going to be addressed. It depends on…I can’t say! I was about to say something. You almost got me……..It will absolutely be addressed….
It’s tough, because this is the other element of the secrecy of it all is — the other part of it is, there are lots f surprises in this movie.
There are lots of twists and turns, and I really want people to experience those when they see the movie for the first time.
How we address that, and how you feel about it, and what happens with that, is one of them.”
While Rian Johnson was being quite coy in his answers to the interviewer, knowing that Rey’s parentage is at least a plot point in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, will only further add to fan anticipation .
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is due out in cinema’s everywhere on December 15th.
