‘Emperor’s New Clothes’ – Panic! At The Disco – Track of The Day
Have you ever loved a song so much that when you finally see the music video you get obsessed all over again? That is exactly what happened when I was innocently indulging in one of my favourite bands from my teenage years, Panic! At The Disco.
The days have long since passed when I’d watch music videos regularly, so seeing the video for ‘Emperors New Clothes’ was something unexpected but wonderful. The song is on their latest album Death of A Bachelor.
The song, which was written and performed by P!ATD, starts at the end of the ‘Gospel ‘ video and has a different vibe in terms of style. I also loved the use of prosthetics and SFX makeup, which is probably why I found the video so visually appealing.
You could tell that a lot of effort went into the video and it definitely shows. My obsession with this song will probably last a long time indeed but I wouldn’t change that for anything.
