The upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie has received a second full trailer, showcasing some of the action the movie will feature.
The trailer focuses mainly on Callum Lynch, the character played by Michael Fassbender, while also featuring Mario Cotillard, Jeremy Irons and Brendan Gleeson.
Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.
This movie just didn’t interest if I’m being honest. The patchy history of video game movies made it hard to hope for this one. I enjoy the Assassin’s Creed games and like the way they tell their stories, for the most part anyway. So while I did really want this movie to be good, It just seemed unlikely to me that this would be the movie to break away from that history.
This trailer has changed my mind. Aside from the namedrop which I feel is a really bad line, I am quite fond of this trailer. I wasn’t planning to see this in cinemas before today but now it’s definitely on my list.
