With the original release slated for September 30th, it has been announced today, that Final Fantasy XV Is delayed until November 29th. In a video message posted by Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata, he explains that the master version of the game (the game that would be sent for retail use) has been completed and that the developers are going to take the next couple of months to polish and quality assure FFXV, so that is reaches “the highest possible quality”. Instead of releasing the game early with a day one patch, the patch will be worked into the final retail copy as well as some extra tweeks and fixes.

Tabata-san ends with giving an apologising to all the fans, who have been waiting patiently waiting all these years for the release.  Anyone lucky enough to be going to Gamescom will be able to play the finished master version from the start and there will be a gameplay video released to the public of the finished game in action on Tuesday 16th August.
