With the recent trailer for Konami’s most recent attempt at trying to be cool, Metal Gear Rising. people have had many different reactions. A lot of people’s first reaction, myself included, was to laugh enough to stop the tears. With this, I would like to reflect back to a simpler time. Think back to what it was that made us fall in love with Metal Gear Solid. The complex and intriguing characters, the convoluted plot and the high octane cinematic action set pieces. But one part of the franchise that always stunned me was the art design by artist, Yoji Shinkawa. All of the games covers and any art designs related to the franchise were always visually stunning. So with this, I would like to commemorate this gallery to the art of Yoji Shinkawa.
