2018?
With the focus currently on these new shows, fans wonder when we will see the next seasons of Daredevil and Jessica Jones. Netflix head, Ted Sarandos, claimed they won’t release more than two seasons a year from their Marvel series. However, Luke Cage is scheduled for 2016 and Iron Fist and The Defenders are set up for 2017. This means season three of Daredevil and season two of Jessica Jones won’t arrive until 2018 at the earliest.
Even at that, there will need to be room for The Punisher too. Sarandos mentioned Jessica Jones will be filmed back-to-back with The Defenders. He also mentioned they would try to speed up the process of making the shows to “get less downtime between them”.
At least our beloved Matt Murdock and Jessica Jones will make an appearance in The Defenders next year. How will this effect their respective series? Only time will tell!
Daredevil and Jessica Jones are available now on Netflix. Season one of Luke Cage arrives September 30, 2016.
Doing a little of this, a little of that. If you see me holding a camera, run!
