Hearing the news that Star Wars Episode 8 was going to be filmed in Ireland again was music to any fan’s ears, and once it was announced that filming would take place in Donegal, we shipped our co-deputy editor off to Malin Head to take a look (not that she was complaining!)
Unsurprisingly, hundreds of fans were walking around Banba’s Crown and Hell’s Hole up in Malin Head yesterday with most stuck to their cameras trying to catch a glimpse of anything interesting on-set.
Although it’s highly unlikely that actors have even arrived in the country yet, as filming doesn’t start until Friday, that didn’t stop many fans scaling rock faces and jumping fences to try and get closer.
If you plan on heading there, make sure to do it before Friday as the roads will be closed off by Donegal County Council.
