The second trailer for the new Star Trek movie, Star Trek Beyond will be released tomorrow, May 20.
This comes after the first trailer (released back in December) was met with a lukewarm response for not feeling appropriately Star Trek, containing The Beastie Boys’ track ‘Sabotage’ and giving off an action movie vibe.
The response was even felt by the film’s writer, Simon Pegg. In an interview, he said, “I didn’t love it, because I know there’s a lot more to the film. There’s a lot more story, and a lot more character stuff, and a lot more what I would call ‘Star Trek stuff’.”
I’m waiting now to see if this new trailer will have some of this so called ‘Star Trek stuff’ Pegg is on about.
Star Trek Beyond will release in Irish cinemas on July 22 this year.
