Steve Rodgers (Chris Evans) has been on quite the rollercoaster since he first dropped into the Marvel Cinematic Universe back in July 2011. Frozen in ice, waking up decades later, Rodgers has faced Nazis, Hydra, an alien invasion, his best friend, and now in April 2016 he will come head to head with his long time ally. Taking a trip down memory lane, we’ve got three of our favourite trailers released for the promotion of the Captain America movies.
Captain America: The First Avenger
Released in July 2011, Steve Rodgers’ selfless actions were all it took for him to be enlisted into the super-soldier program. It wasn’t long before Rodgers became the poster boy of the war, the patriotic hero that was meant to rally the troops. But determined to rescue his friend Bucky, Cap finds himself face to face with the Red Skull, Hydra’s first head.
Captain America – The Winter Soldier
The Winter Soldier landed in theatres April 2014, and saw Cap tracking a deadly Hydra assassin, who later transpired as being his childhood best friend Bucky Barnes. As S.H.I.E.L.D crumbles around him, Cap is left questioning who he can and can’t trust.
Captain America – Civil War
Set to be released in April 2016, Civil War will pit friend against friend, as the governments, concerned about the collateral damage of the hero’s “rescue” attempts enact the Sokovia Accords. A set of rules that set about making each and every hero, answerable to the government. However tensions within the superhero community drive a rift between them. #TeamIronman feel that the Accords are necessary, while #TeamCap rebelling against becoming governmental pawns.
