So with the first Fallout 4 DLC to dropped and with the Creation Kit coming in April I think it high time to see what the community has been doing with Bethesda’s previous titles. These are some of the biggest modding projects going on right now in the community. These teams have been working hard to bring a lot of new content to these old games.
Fallout:The Frontier
One of the newer projects on the list is Fallout: The Frontier. In The Frontier the player will venture far north of the Mojave to join a conflict between the NCR and the Legion in an all-out-war across the frontier. The player will have to use everything at their disposal to fight the Legion and take the win. This mod is really pushing the old Gamebryo engine to it limits with battles in both tanks and in outer space.
The Elder Scrolls Renewal Project
From the team that brought you Morroblivion for The Elder Scrolls IV comes one of the most ambitious project on the list because not only are they remaking all of the original Morrowind into the creation engine with all your favourite skills, attributes and star signs but once the team working on Morrowind is finished they will merge with the Oblivion team to bring The Elder Scrolls IV to the creation engine as well.
Awake: The Rise of Mannimarco
This is possibly the only release of 2016 that I am looking forward to. This project has been delayed a few times now, however the team behind this mod have done great work in the past. Some of you may think the name Mannimarco sound familiar well that because this necromancer has been in two previous main Elder Scrolls titles and has been featured in Elder Scrolls Online
Enderal
This is a project that has been completed however the team is now working on translating the entire game into English. Yes this is technically a full game in itself, however since it requires Skyrim it counts. Enderal is a totally new experience for the player as it is set in a totally new world and will run independently for the main game.
