‘Is She With You?’ – Hans Zimmer And Junkie XL – Track of the Day
For better or for worse, Zack Snyder‘s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice has now opened in cinemas. Whatever you may think of the film – our review is here – Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL‘s collaboration on the soundtrack is absolutely mighty. In particular, their Wonder Woman theme, the perhaps slightly mistitled ‘Is She With You?’, is an absolute stormer. Invoking Led Zeppelin‘s ‘Immigrant Song’ with its big rhythms and guitar lead, it’s the kind of music that makes any piece of film look good.
Wonder Woman’s role in the movie is one of the few aspects that has fans united in fervent agreement. It’s been too long a wait to finally get Diana Prince in the big screen and when she does get onscreen, the film itself improves dramatically. Hopefully the theme is carried over, at least in part, for the Wonder Woman solo movie next year!
