8 Of The Best Cartoon Theme Songs
When it comes to cartoon songs, some rise well above the others.
From theme songs to musical numbers, cartoons have ways of churning out the most catchy songs that generations upon generations can remember.
If I listed all of my favourites we would be here for an extremely long time. I feel like the golden age of cartoons was mid 90s to the late 90s in terms of theme songs.
Check out my list of the very best:
X-Men
For the longest time, this was my ring tone and I have had it on every device that I have owned since my first phone. It’s a total winner.
Steven Universe
Every single time I hear this song I well up with tears because it has such a strong message behind it.
Kim Possible
This theme song was one of the best the noughties had to offer. Hands up who can still remember all the lyrics?
Jem and the Holograms
Nothing says glam rock like Jem but, to be honest, I was a fan of the Misfits.
Duck Tales
Who didn’t like Duck Tales as a kid? I don’t know anyone who didn’t like it. When it was on, it was a group activity to watch it together.
Phineas and Ferb
It took me way too long to realise Bowling for Soup did this theme song and then that just made it even better for me.
Captain Planet
Captain Planet is also another gem of a theme song. No matter how long it’s been since I have heard it I will always take the time to listen to it if it crops up suddenly.
Pokémon
Finally, the best for last. This theme song is the best theme song ever. Absolutely no one can resist it when it plays! What is not to love? Amazing title sequence, guitar, drums and power ballad vibes? Check! Ah, the memories.
