SCANDAL Announce Seventh Album ‘Yellow’ Ahead Of World Tour

Japanese pop-rock titans SCANDAL has announced the release of their seventh studio album YELLOW, due to be released in the UK and Europe on March 11 this year. As if that wasn’t enough, a week prior to that they will be releasing a live DVD of their first ever world tour, which took place in 2015, titled SCANDAL documentary film: HELLO WORLD.

SCANDAL is a band that some of our readers may be familiar with (especially if they’ve ever read any of Andy’s music articles or seen the photos of his shrine to bassist Tomomi Ogawa), but to those not in the know, they’re an all-female rock four-piece who have taken Japan by storm. Each of their previous six albums placed in the top five of the official Oricon charts, and they received a Best New Artist Award when they were just teenagers.

YELLOW will contain the previously-released singles ‘Sisters’ and ‘STAMP!’, and is said to combine their upbeat pop-rock style with touches of ska, hard rock and punk – and those are all things I like so that sounds good to me! As of yet, there don’t seem to be any dates or locations announced for their world tour, but we’ll keep you updated as soon as the news breaks!
