The first image of BD Wong in his new role as Hugo Strange have surfaced, first released on TVInsider.com.
Wong undertakes the recurring role of Strange when the Gotham series returns later this month. Fans of Batman will recognise the villain from his diabolical and cruel rule of the Arkham Asylum where his patients include Killer Croc, Harley Quinn and the Calendar Man.
The character first appeared in 1940 as an adversary for Batman predating some of the other better known big bads including the Joker. Possessing a genius level intellect with specialities in chemistry, psychology and biology, Strange is one of only a handful villain’s to have uncovered Batman’s real identity.
What direction Wong takes the role and just what he has in store for the Gotham roster, we’ll have to wait and see when the show returns February 29th.
