With over five days left in their deadline, the team over at Double Fine productions have reached their goal of $3,300,000 to produce and publish the highly anticipated Psychonauts sequel.
In a post on the crowdfunding page, the team posted their thanks to all their backers (20,000+ of them) and a video with the team expressing their joy over the success and enjoying some champagne:
The crowdfunding campaign kicked off just over a month ago with an announcement teaser that sent fans of the first game into a tizzy:
Now that the game has achieved it’s funding, pre-production can begin with a 2018 date pegged for release of the sequel. Congratulations to Tim Schaefer and his Double Fine Productions team, we can’t wait for the game to drop.
