It’s been many a year since we got to swing a sword as Sir Daniel Fortesque, but there’s hope yet for a new MediEvil game. Composer duo Bob and Barn confirmed in a Facebook post about their 25th anniversary that they are working on multiple projects, including an unannounced Sony PlayStation 4 title. The post reads:
I would just like to point out that today marks my (Barn’s) 25th anniversary of landing my first gig as a composer, SWIV on the Amiga. So today I will be composing music for a PS4 title for Sony, writing music for a Dutch feature film and helping to prepare for recording a choir in Queens College chapel in Cambridge tomorrow night for an ad. So, nothing much has really changed…!
It wouldn’t make a lot of sense for Sony to bring back MediEvil when there hasn’t been a game since 2005, but it would be interesting to see them lease it out to a developer with the interest.
