In a press release on the official website for The Walking Dead it has been confirmed that the series will take it’s first step into the world of tabletop miniature gaming with a new partnership.
Working with Mantic Games (Deadzone, Mars Attacks), Skybound Entertainment will release the game later this year with expansions to follow quickly from the date of release. Speaking about the game, Robert Kirkman said “We’re excited to be partnering with Mantic…This game will introduce our fans to a whole new way of experiencing the world of The Walking Dead.”
Designed with two players in mind, the game will pit two groups of survivors against each other as they struggle for survival and dominance in zombie infested Atlanta, the game will also have a single player capacity too.
There’s been no official date yet but it’s hoped for a late 2016 release and will retail for about £35, so we’re looking at a price between €40 – €50.
