Beloved indie developer Capybara Games (Super Time Force, Sword & Sworcery EP) have been busy at work with the recent Don’t Starve expansion, Shipwrecked, but their latest full title, Below, has all but disappeared and it looks like it won’t be hitting its original 2015 release.
In a statement given to Gameinformer, Nathan Vella stated, “Below is indeed coming in 2016. Past that, I can’t share much yet. We’ll certainly have a lot more content to show and news to share in the new year.”
The Christmas period is a rough time to release any video game, be it far from release or completely finished. The biggest games of the year have already all released for the holiday season, so attempting to compete with the likes of Fallout 4 and Xenoblade Chronicles X would be suicide for any indie studio.
Below is now planned to release for Xbox One and PC in 2016.
