Get ready, X-Men fans! The trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse has just been released and it’s fantastic!
Directed by Brian Singer, this film is the sequel to X-Men: Days of Future Past and follows Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant, after he wakes after thousands of years to our new world.

Based on the classic X-Men story Age of Apocalypse, X-Men: Apoclaypse brings to the screen on one of the X-Men’s most powerful and epic stories.
The official synopsis reads:
Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

Honestly when I first saw Havoc I didn’t know it was him. I assumed it was an old friend of Xavier I was unaware of. Funny how a mullet can render him unrecognisable. But overall this was a fantastic trailers. It’s nice to see Quicksilver again considering he was severely underused in DoFP. Apocalypse is intimidating and will undoubtedly be a high level threat to humanity. Jean, Scott, Nightcrawler & Storm’s teenage counterparts look cool. Taking into account this would be the last entry to this trilogy of films I knew Charles would go bald but go dammit I got really excited at that last shot!
