Real-Life Squid Sisters Concert Planned To Celebrate 1 Million Splatoon Sales

One of the most unique shooters possibly ever, Splatoon, has hit the big 1 million copies mark in its native Japan and, to celebrate, Nintendo has announced that a concert featuring the game’s iconic Squid Sisters will take place at the same venue as the Tokyo Game Show, the Makuhari Messe convention centre.

It is planned for January 30 2016, and we presume it will use some sort of holographic projection wizardry similar to the technology used for Hatsune Miku’s live performances.

Despite not owning a Wii U myself, I do love the music from Splatoon, so I’m gonna keep an eye out for this. Crossing my tentacles for an ABXY/Chirpy Chips guest appearance though – I do love me some fast-paced chiptune-punk after all.
