Yes, we are all super excited when it was announced that Double Fine Productions were going to return to Psychonauts and develop a sequel to the beloved 2005 title.
The developers had turned to crowd-funding with obvious intention of raising money and by proxy see what kind of interest there was out there for the game.The answer?
Lots! With the campaign in early days, fans around the world have already broken the 50% mark and have (at the time of writing) raised $1,906,221 with just under 13,000 backers.
Psychonauts 2 is scheduled for cross-platform release in 2018, so it will be a while before we get to play – that said and we think you’ll agree, it’s more than worth the wait!
