Star of The Walking Dead, Norman Reedus, has been bitten by a fan at Walker Stalker Con in New York/New Jersey, according to Undead Walking.
A female fan was reportedly in a line for photos with Reedus (who plays fan-favourite Daryl) and Michael Rooker (who plays Daryl’s brother, Merle, on the show) just before the assault.
The woman told Reedus that she liked to pretend she was married to him before suddenly biting him. Security immediately restrained her and Rooker is reported to have said, “What the fuck was that?!”
The woman posted about the incident on her Instagram account afterwards, as well as her Tumblr blog, and expressed her sadness at losing her other solo photo opportunities when she was kicked out and banned from the convention.
She made a joke about how Reedus wore a t-shirt that said ‘Bite me’ and that she was ‘just doing what the t-shirt said’.
Reedus has since posted a picture on his Instagram account with the same picture referenced by the woman which has now been photoshopped to include the words “Do not” before “bite me”. He included a caption that said “Ummmmm please don’t”.
