Geeky Goodies: A Very Star Wars Christmas

Christmas time is here, happiness and cheer. Snowflakes in the air, Star Wars everywhere! Call it a capitalist marketing scheme, call it what you’d like, I like to call it THE BEST CHRISTMAS EVER. The Force Awakens is coming this December to a theatre near you and with it, all the merchandise you could ever possibly imagine, Christmas themed and all.

CANDLES

Many of us like to start setting the Christmas mood by lighting up some candles. And what better way than with the smell of swampy river water from Dagobah? Okay, it may not be the most traditional of Christmas scents, but why not create some new traditions?

WREATH

Now that the house smells nice, perhaps it’s time to start hanging tinsel and decorations on the walls and mantelpieces. Sort out your stockings, fluff up your tree, and add a few touches of modern geekery with this cute little pixelated wreath.

LIGHTS

To give a bit of atmosphere, Christmas lights are definitely a must, but you don’t have to stick to the plain traditional fairy lights. Why not light up everyone’s favourite little droid or the galaxy’s most feared army?

Remember it can get a bit chilly, but if you’re not a big fan of the traditional knitted jumper, why not snuggle in a big warm gingerbread cookie covered sweatshirt instead?

Hopefully the sweatshirt will inspire you to bake some delicious cookies to enjoy with that eggnog by the fire and for that you need some cookie cutters, wouldn’t you agree? Just make some little Santa hats out of sugar paste to decorate and you’ve got yourself some of the cutest Sithmas cookies the world has ever seen (see what I did there?)

On the other hand, if you’re not much of a baker, you can always order a dozen custom made cupcakes from one of Ireland’s geekiest bakers for your Christmas feast!
