This is fantastic news for fans of the Fast & Furious franchise as Vin Diesel has confirmed that he is planning to expand the franchise with prequels and spin-offs with it being said that he is currently working on a project already with Universal.
Speaking to Variety, Diesel said, “We’ve written out storylines for various characters. We’ve been playing with it for a long time. It’s a very rich property and we’re committed to treating it with a lot of class.”
He added, “We have a director who is going to bring the darkness out and bring out the character.”
Universal has also added to this with chairman Donna Langley adding, “We’re certainly in conversations about how we can expand the franchise. It’s an ensemble cast and there’s room to bring characters in and out.”
