The people of downtown Fort Meyers, Florida have been left in shock after a shooting at ZombiCon which took place at approximately 11:45pm, Saturday night (October 17). The incident claimed one victim, 20 year old Expavious Tyrell Taylor, and left 5 others injured, their injuries are said to not be life threatening.
ZombiCon, a convention that has been in operation for nearly a decade was said to have an expected footfall of 20,000 people over the course of the weekend, and it is believed that the incident sent the attendees into a chaotic frenzy as they fled into the streets, with the police swiftly evacuating nearby bars and buildings and cordoning off the area with tape.
As photographs and videoing are popular at these events, the police believe that someone out there may have captured something on video or photo that may help them identify the suspect, as he or she is still at large.
